There once was a bird living in the ridges right outside my window and I would awake every morning to the sound of the bird's melodies. When this was on a weekend in spring (as the birds always came in spring) I felt like I was living in a dream. When it was a weekday, the bird was the biggest nuisance. It was a battle between a love-hate relationship wherein I was woken at 4 am due to its chirping. Now however I miss that chirping, as it was the last touches of my childhood and gave me a nostalgia like no other. I was reminded of this memory due to the wonderful poem, thank you for sharing and taking me down memory lane.

That’s such a wonderful memory, thank you for sharing!

It feels very similar, as I awake to the birds every morning as well. At first it was a disturbance, but it grew into a beautiful appreciation over time, ultimately inspiring me to write this poem. ❤️

Glad to see you back, and thank you for sharing this inspiring ode to the beauty that nature has to share! Did you know the Greeks had a divination practice known as "ornithomancy" which involved seeing omens from birds' flight and cries? So righteous.

Hi Jeremy, I’m genuinely touched by your glowing recommendation. Your words mean a lot to me, and I truly appreciate your support.

I couldn’t help but notice the synchronicity of your poem. Today, while enjoying a picnic in the park with friends, we were visited by a pair of red-headed woodpeckers, a stunning blue heron, and a charming burrowing owl. Nature was echoing your words, mirroring our inner and outer worlds

My pleasure, Alex, I love your work!

What a beautiful synchronicity and a wonderful gift to witness! Funny enough you weren’t the only one to experience something similar and let me know. Such a lovely world we live in when we start paying attention to it. 😊
