Self reflection is already a big part of the journey, but publicly sharing reflections welcomes a whole lot more energy to affirm and challenge your thoughts. Love to see your Substack begin!
Thank you for sharing this heartwarming article. I can tell your Dad is an awesome man not just by this article but by you as a person. The honor and respect you have for him is beautiful.
I am just figuring this Dad thing out myself. Currently my only goal is to raise my son to surpass me in every way other than the depth of my love for him. Looking forward to more articles and learning from you!
Thank you so much, Christian! Your words means a lot to me, especially because I know how incredible you are as a father and overall human being. I am fully confident your family is surrounded with love and wonder, you're doing amazing! <3
Like you, I've witnessed my mother make a similar journey in regards to departing from P.I. and establishing family life in the states. What my mother has had to endure has been nothing shy of heroic - similar to your mother and father, for anyone for that matter who makes such sacrifices for their family. It's been decades later since my mom originally came from P.I. but is "STILL" attempting to petition my last aunt to the U.S. I've found myself attempting to pick peoples brains within the family to become a bit more familiar with their story and life prior to coming here. I'm always hearing how formal and strict it was. I'm always finding myself curious about memories from their pasts that they seem to want to leave alone.
Thank you for sharing, Charlie. That's cool we have a similar heritage! I totally feel you about witnessing your family's journey. It must have had a profound influence on your life. And yes, understanding the origins of each of us is powerful way to connect and learn more about ourselves. I'm glad you're digging deep into your history, I'm sure it will be a beautiful unfolding. Looking forward to seeing what you write about it! =)
I thought so when on here. You tell it in a much more fascinating way than I could at this particular time. Possibly one day, but families a messy business on this end. Having newly arrived back in it, I have been digging though, to learn and to mend previous - less notable - behaviors of mine. Finding my place in it all. Maybe one day.

Yes indeed. Bring it on! ;)
Thanks so much, Christine! <3
Powerful words - and a powerful commitment. I am happy to hold you accountable and get inspired by your weekly digest :) You are a hero!
Thanks, Lukas! Let’s do it, brother. 😁

You've got it in you, as we all do. I believe in you, Charlie.
Appreciate you saying so Jeremy.
