The follow-up post to Elevating Consciousness - The Human Imperative (Part 1) is turning out to be quite a beast.
Toiling amidst the structure, research, and scope of the problem/solution, I realized how much work it’ll require. Distilling a complex message into something that actually makes sense and is a joy to read is a task that takes time.
I’m finally OK with that, but that wasn’t always the case.
Growth Has Boundaries
I took a writing break last to week to spend time with my father, my children, my partner, my friends. I helped with a move, took care of my kids, spun up my startup, held space for those that needed it, and celebrated a birthday.
Birthdays tend to evoke a reconnection to past lives. It was peculiar to witness so much of my personal history re-emerge simultaneously: childhood friends, former colleagues, business partners, etc.
It helped me see how much I’ve changed over the decades, how beautiful and timeless friendships can be, and where to move on.
In the whirlwind of activity, I realized the limits of my capacity. Though our love can expand infinitely, on this earth we have limitations: sleep, food, energy, time. When you don’t pay attention to this, you pay the price. The universe always normalizes to a balance point, a phenomenon also observed as homeostasis. ☯️
Letting Go of Old Beliefs
For much of my life, I’ve struggled with an inner conflict: my desire to change, grow, and see positive results, and my impatience to receive it all immediately. I often forget that some things are meant to unfold over a period of time - be it days, weeks, years, centuries, or eons.
In the past, I would be hard on myself for not finishing a task on time, or frustrated that an outcome I envisioned wouldn’t manifest. But I’m learning that time is subjective and to let nature run its course.
In the past, I would feel ashamed when I couldn’t meet my own standards of quality. But I’m learning not to let perfection hinder progress.
These old paradigms of thinking only facilitated a cycle of shame and procrastination. I want that no longer.
The Lesson
Pace yourself, know your limits, practice patience, be OK with the messiness of creation, prioritize recovery, don’t give up on yourself. In the long-run, it is this system of self-care that unlocks your highest potential.
A Poem for the Present Moment
Wisdom whispers in the wind our ears don’t hear it Truth awaits our awareness our eyes don’t see it The disruptive cacophony of rush-hour traffic The phantom buzz of electronic worlds The vitriolic shouts of confused politicians The rancid fumes of immolated traumas Noise In stillness In silence In peace Is power
What I’m Doing This Week
Gratitude
I’m grateful for heartfelt birthday greetings, reconnections, and quality time with loved ones.
Lesson Learned
Entering a new chapter in life requires letting go of old things that no longer fit. Though painful and bittersweet, it’s essential to make room for harmony and abundance.

Watching
I did a guest spot on a podcast.
Though I previously had a bias against reality TV shows, I’ve discovered that there is much to learn and enjoy in observing people without judgement.
Here’s me and my 0ne having a fun conversation and analyzing relationships. S'il vous plaît, give her channel a like or sub, it’s brilliant! 🙏

Manifesto For A Post-Materialist Science
“the sciences would be more scientific if they were free to investigate the natural world in a truly open way – without the constraints of materialism and the prejudice of dogma – while adhering to the scientific methods of data collecting, hypothesis testing and critical discussion.”
Valid.
